Bamenda Boy, Pt. 1 marks the beginning of Magasco’s remarkable recording career and serves as the foundation upon which his musical legacy was built. Released under Bamenda Boy Records, the 14-track project introduced audiences to a young artist with a distinctive voice, an unmistakable melodic style, and a deep passion for representing his hometown of Bamenda and the rich cultural heritage of Cameroon. More than just a debut album, Bamenda Boy, Pt. 1 established the identity that would later make Magasco one of the country’s most celebrated contemporary artists.

The album features 14 songs, including early fan favourites such as LineLoba, Kumba Market, Bamenda, Hello, Movie Star, Garri, River, and Thank You Lord. These records introduced listeners to Magasco’s storytelling ability while exploring themes of love, faith, ambition, everyday life, and hometown pride. LineLoba and Kumba Market would go on to become breakthrough songs that significantly expanded his audience and laid the groundwork for the national recognition he would soon receive.
